ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Story

winter solstice was directly inspired by your hotel’s deeply intentional concepts and color palettes. i aimed to incorporate the meaningful themes that shape your aesthetic, particularly by celebrating the transition from darkness to light, and with the liberal use of white to symbolize purity and renewal.

the layered gradient is grounded by earth tones – from heavy browns to airy sage green – and framed by a subtle traditional japanese blue-leaning gold, to pay homage to the timeless beauty of natural landscapes in a very contemporary composition.
