inspired by fall foliage and the recurring color palette that appears in extravagant silk obis. with its intricate textures and incorporation of traditional materials unique to japanese art, this glistening painting has a striking degree of complexity to it despite its intentionally simple wabi sabi design.

an mixed media painting with a shimmering wash of golden pigments, designed to complement custom home decor items crafted using upcycled vintage textiles. The name icho translates to gingko leaf, the official symbol of tokyo.
